MOORES'~qLLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> <br /> M[N-[rlT~,S <br /> Wednesday, JI. rNE 21, 2000 <br /> <br />The Mooresville Board of Zoning_ Appeals met on Wednesday, June 21, 2000 for their regular <br />meeting. Board members present were Alan I~amer, Mike Yom~, JeffJustus and Donald <br />Barry. Town attorney Tim Curreus was also present <br /> <br />Chairraan Kran~er opened the meeting and asked for a motion on the minutes on the May ~ 1, <br />2000. JeffJustus motioned to accept the minutes as written, the motion was seconded by <br />Mike Young. The motion passed 4-0 with none .opposed. <br /> <br />The First item on the agenda was a varia~ce lbr a business in a garage in a residential area at <br />461 Indianapolis Road. Pete Foley represented Mr. and Mrs. James Childers in askh~ for the <br />Variance. Mr. Foley explained the Childars business as a novelty, hobby and card shop operating <br />maly on weekends. He explained that the hmffic is low and that they have ample parking for <br />the an~OLa~t of business that they have. Floyd Ka_¥s of 517 Indianapolis Road, spoke to the Board <br />saying_ that he had no problem with rite Childers having_ their business. Mr. Childers also spoke <br />saying that they are serving the children of the comnmunity and that they also work with Riley <br />Hospital with their business. After the reading._, of Facts and Findings, Donald Barry,motioned to <br />~ant the variance subject to the use of the excising sigu only. The second came JeffJustus, the <br />motion carried 4-0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />Alan I~ramer representing Gomdon and Carole Grindstaff of 73 ¢_¢asbarg Road in asking <br />for a variance fi'om developmental standards for Lot #2. The variance would be Width to <br />Depth ratio. Mr_ Kramer explained to the Board the need of the variance and that the need of it to <br />present the minor plat to the Planning Commission at a later date. With no questions form the <br />floor or the Board the Facts of Findings were read by Mike Young, a motion was made by Donald <br />Bany and seconded by JeffJustus. The motion carried 3-0 with none .o!~_ osed. <br /> <br />With no finlher business before the Board at the time a motion to adjonm came bom Jeff <br />Justus and seconded by Don Bany, motion carried 3-0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />Chairman: <br /> <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Board offZmfing will be July 19, 2000 at the Mooresville <br />TownHall at 26 South Indiana S~reet <br /> <br /> <br />
