MOORESVILLE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
MINUTES
THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 2000, 6:30 P. M.

The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met onThursday, March 23, 2000, at 6:30 P. M. This
was a change to the meeting date which was originally set for Wednesday, March 15, 2000 7:00
P. M., due to not having a quorum present to eondnct the meeting.

Board members present were: Alan Kramer, Jeff Justus, Mike Young, and Don Barry. No
members were absent due to the fact one appointment to the Board has not been filled. Town
Attorney Tim Currens was present.

Motion was made by Don Barry, second by Jeff Justus to approve the minutes of February 16,
2000 meeting. Motion carded 4-0.

Ross Holloway presented a request for a variance of use for property owned by Charles Roberts
and Leona Gm'rea, located on Highway 144 approximatedly 1 V2 mile east of Highway 67 across
from the Holland apm hnents. The variance is to sell retail garden supplies and seasonal pool
supplies in a 36 foot by 36 foot garage. This is presently zoned agriculture. Board member Don
Barry asked about future expansion if the business grew to that need. Mr. Holloway asked if the
board would accept a building of 36 foot by 72 foot and no bigger.

Motion was made by Don Barry, second by Jeff Justus to grant the variance of use under the
conditions that sales are to be kept to the garage area and further expansion be kept to doubling
size only or petitioners would be required to come back to the Board of Zoning Appeals. Motion
carried 4-0.

New business: Town attorney reported Mike Young as the Plan Commission appointee to the
Board of Zoning Appeals and the other appointee had to come from the Town Council body or
the Town Council President. He will check on this and report back to the board.

There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals at this
time, motion was made by Mike Young, second by Don Barry to adjourn the meeting. Motion
carried 4-0.

The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals will be
Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at 7:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall.

President
