MINUTES OF MOORESVILLEBOARDOF ZONING APPEALS The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals met at a specially called session on Wednesday. the 19th day of October, 1983 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Present were Board Members Steve Oschman, Paul Walters, Warren Franklin, and Nan Kollmeyer. Also present was the Board's Attorney, Timothy C. Currens. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Steve Oschman and it was determined that there was a quorum present. The minutes of the last meeting were approved by all members as read. Chairman Oschman then advised the Board that the next meeting would be held October 26, 1983 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. The Board then proceeded to the next item on the agenda, a continuation of a hearing at the last meeting on the variance filed by Walter and Minnie Hadley. The Hadleys were present by their attorney Tom Kough. Mr. Kough reviewed the presentation from the prior meeting as to the request advising the Board that Mr. Hadley assembled bunk beds as a hobby and sold them at the premises. Mr. Kough then presented a petition containing agreed restrictions on the zoning variance agreed to by Walter and Minnie Hadley and advised that at this time he felt with such restrictions there could be no major business activity conducted on the property. Chairman Oschma n then opened up to questions from the floor. Wayne Timmons of 304 West Main Street advised that the sign was still in the yard facing Main Street. Dave Kollmeyer of 20 West Street advised that he had no problem with the variance as requested with restrictions which would limit it to merely a hobby and not a business. Next, Helen Beal of 245 West Main Street advised that she had no.problem with the variance as presented with restrictions, she said she had lived in the neighborhood since 1938 and did not want any actual businesses in the neighborhood. Wayne Timmons asked who he would complain to and how long it would take if there was a problem. The Board explained that the complaint would come either to them or the Plan Commission and they would act on it immediately.
