AT MOORESVILLE GOVERNMENT <br /> CENTER <br /> The Mooresville Redevelopment Commission met on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at <br /> 7:30 A. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Redevelopment Commission members present were: Tim Corman,Brian Nelson,Harold <br /> Gutzwiller, and George Watkins. Mike Haskins was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens <br /> was present. <br /> Clerk-Treasurer Sandy Perry gave Oaths of Office to the members present before the <br /> meeting. <br /> First order of business was reorganization. A motion was made by George Watkins to <br /> make Harold Gutzwiller Chairman, Brian Nelson Vice-Chairman, and Tim Corman <br /> Secretary. Brian Nelson gave a second to the motion. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> The Clerk-Treasurer gave a fund report and expenditure report to the commissioners. See <br /> (attached). <br /> Attorney Currens gave a report on the activities of the commission for 2010 to be given <br /> to the Town Council. A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by <br /> Commissioner Corman to approve the report. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> is <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner Corman <br /> to approve minutes of November 12th 2010 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Watkins with a second by Commissioner Nelson <br /> to approve Tim Curren's attorney contract for 2011 at the same amount per hour as in <br /> 2010. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Joy Sessing, (Morgan County Economic Development Director), reported to the <br /> commission she was still waiting for the Aussie company project to make a decision. <br /> The company has gone from public to private. Also,the Carter Lee project is going <br /> along ok. She talked about the industrial sites that Mooresville has but they have no <br /> basic infrastructure. To be bonafide industrial sites,this infrastructure must be in place or <br /> available within a reasonable distance. Joy Sessing advised she will be coming before <br /> the commission in the upcoming months to see if creating a new TIF district will solve <br /> ( this issue. <br />
