MOORES\VI~LE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br /> Janumy 19,2000 <br /> <br />The Moore.~,'ille Board of Zoning Appeals met for their regular meeting, the <br />Wednesday of the month which was Janumy 19,2000. The meeting ~vas held at <br />Mooresville Town Hall, 26 South Indiana Street. Members present were Donald <br />Ban5,, Mike Young and Jeff Justice. Tim Currens, Town attorney was also present. <br />AlanI~h'amer was absent from file meeting. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Donald Barry at that time Mr. Bany asked for a <br />motion on the minutes fi'om the December 15,1999 meeting. Mike Yotmg motioned to <br />Approve the miuutes as written, a second came fi'om Jeff Justice. The motion carried <br />3-0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />It was decided that the Chahman would be Alan Kramer, MikeYoung would setYe as Vice <br />Chairman and Jeff Justice would serve as Secretary for the year 2000. <br /> <br />Shem/. He~oerl2 of Holloway and Associates for Jim Newconler canle to the board <br />asking for Set Back variance for lots 12,13,14,and part of 15., located south of High Street and <br />West of Madison Street. The variance is needed to build more storage for Newcomer <br />Lumber. Ms Herbe~lz presented maps and pictmes of the area. The set backs would <br />be fi'om 10 to 2 feet on file side and from 20 to 2 feet for the rea,-. Ms Herbe~z explained <br />that they feel the building would block the view of the yard flora the residences and <br />would cut dewn the noise fi'om the yard for the residences. Robert Hatton from 236 East South <br />Street woke express his concerns about the alley d:-ifti~ closed with the building.being <br />so close and icicle hanging on the buildings only 2 feet fi'om tile alley. The Facts and Findings <br />of the Developmental Standards were read by Don Ban3,. With no fittther questions <br />a motion was made by Mike Young to approve fl~e variance the second was made <br />by Jeff Justice motion passed 3-0 with none opposed. <br /> <br />Motion to adjourn was made by Jeff'Justice and seconded by Mike Young, motion <br />carried 3-0. <br /> <br />The next meeting will by February 16,2000. <br /> <br /> <br />
