MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, JUNE 7, 2018 6:OOpm <br />Members. present: Harold Gutzwiller, Joe Beikman and Don Stultz. Redevelopment Commission <br />Attorney Adam Steuerwald was present. Project Manager Chelsey Manns was present. <br />A motion was trade by Commissioner Beikman and seconded by Commissioner Stultz to approve the <br />executive session and public meeting minutes from May 9th. The motion carried 3-0. <br />Financials were presented by email from the Clerk -Treasurer previously. Commissioner Stultz made the <br />motion to accept the financials as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Beikman and <br />it passed 3-0. <br />Public Comment No public comment. <br />Southbridge Crossing Manns presented a proposal from Economy Heating and Cooling for the <br />replacement of the HVAC unit in the lobby of the cinema for $22,762.95. Commissioner Stultz made the <br />motion to approve the HVAC proposal as submitted. Commissioner Beikman seconded the motion <br />which carried 3-0. <br />Manns shared that the Offering Memorandum had been prepared by Colliers and presented for review. <br />Once legal counsel has a chance to review, Southbridge Crossing will be officially on the market. <br />Gateway Project Update: <br />Bicentennial Park: The ribbon cutting for Bicentennial Park will take place Saturday, lune 9" at 6:45 <br />prior to the inaugural concert. <br />Manns shared that she had a final walk-through for creation of the punch -list of landscaping with <br />Rundell Ernstberger & Associates as well as Myers Construction Management and the Parks <br />Department. Few items were found and will be addressed by the contractor. <br />Next phases: Manns shared that she met with IN DOT and Town officials on the High Street project <br />which will be constructed by INDOT in 2021. She presented the opportunity to partner with INDOT on <br />the project in order to include a trail (similar to that on the east side of Indiana) on the north side of <br />High Street from Monroe to the bridge near Squealer's. Should a trail not be included in the project, <br />there will not be a cost to the Town and/or Commission. If the trail is included, it's estimated the cost <br />will be $500,000. Manns shared she's hopeful the Town can apply for Community Crossing funds for the <br />trail which would only require a 25% match. TIE funds could be used towards the match. Commissioner <br />Stultz made the motion to move forward with the trail concept and the commitment to financially <br />participate. Commissioner Beikman seconded the motion which carried 3-0. <br />Manns also shared that lighting is not currently in the High Street plan and is something we may need to <br />act on at a later time. She is working with Town officials on whether there is a want or need for lighting <br />along this corridor. Commissioner Gutzwiller noted he would like to see it match the lighting along <br />
