.64 <br />Mooresville Town Council Executive Session <br />Thursday June 241h, 2021 <br />Members present: Tom Warthen, Greg Swinney, Shane Williams via telephone <br />and attorney Chou -it Lee. <br />The executive session was called to order at 6:00pm for the sole purpose of <br />discussion of pending opioid and other litigation. ` <br />The meeting adjourned at approximately 6:50pm <br />Tom Warthen, Council President <br />Attest: <br />Mooresville Town Council Special Session <br />Thursday June 24th, 2021 <br />Members Present: Tom Warthen, Greg Swinney, Shane Williams via telephone <br />and attorney Chou-il Lee. <br />President Tom Warthen called the Special Session to order at 7:00pm. <br />Attorney Chou-il Lee discussed the pending opioid litigation. Attorney Lee stated <br />that the Town of Mooresville had the opportunity to opt out of the current <br />litigation, possibility to seek litigation of its' own. Attorney Lee indicated that <br />action now would not prevent the Town of Mooresville from again joining the <br />Attorney General opioid litigation in the future. After brief discussion President <br />Tom Warthen called for a motion: Greg Swinney voted to opt out of current <br />litigation, Resolution 924, Shane Williams seconded the motion via telephone, <br />President Warthen called for a verbal vote, motion passed 3-0. <br />President Warthen called for a motion to adjourn: Greg Swinney made said <br />motion, Shane Williams seconded and by verbal vote motion carried 3-0. <br />Tom Warthen, President Attest: <br />
