June 14, 2021 The meeting called to order at 7:00 pm. Board members present were Mark Taylor, David Pearson, Brian Wiser, Lynn Adams, Erin Bechtold, Danny Shaw, and Perry King. Supt. Brent Callahan., Office Mgr. Stacy Freeman. Absent, Asst. Supt. Kris Wilson Minutes of May 10, 2021, approved as written. Motion made by David Pearson, seconded by Erin Bechtold. Motion carried. Board member Mark Taylor asked about the 2020 encumbered money for the corn hole boards. Supt. Callahan will present an update at the July Park Board Meeting. President Brian Wiser asked the Board to approve the use of the Park tents for Relay for Life at Waverly Park. The event is Saturday, October 2. Park staff would set up during working hours on Friday before and take down the Monday after. Motion to use Park tents for Relay for Life. The motion was made by Lynn Adams, seconded by Perry King. Motion carried. President Brian Wiser requested approval for the new employees hired in May/June. The employees are G. Brimmage, E. Reynolds, L. Hechinger, C. Ream, and R. Davis. Motion to approve the list of employees. Motion made by Mark Taylor, seconded by Danny Shaw. Motion carried. Supt. Callahan emailed the Board on June 2 about Indiana American Water's request for a Temporary Water Sales Hydrant at OTP. There was a quorum to support the proposal, and Indiana American Water was permitted to install the hydrant. Mark Taylor asked if the Park could sell the lot to Indiana American Water. July 4 celebration will proceed as usual, and RECU 2021-2022 registration begins on July 6. Supt. Callahan reports that the playground tile has arrived, and installation will begin Tuesday— Friday of next week. The Aquatic Center is going well; however, the main pool heater does not work but may be worth fixing. Claims approved as presented. Motion made by David Pearson seconded by Perry King. Motion carried. Member Lynn Adams asked about offering pickleball at the Park. Erin Bechtold asked to reunite the Facilities Committee. The next meeting is on July 12, 2021, at 7:00 pm at the Mooresville Public Library. The meeting was adjourned by David Pearson, seconded by Erin Bechtold. Motion carried.
