1423: <br />June 4, 2019 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 6:30 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were: President Tom Warthen, Vice -President David Rogers, Jessica Hester, <br />Dustin Stanley, and Mark Mathis. No members were absent. Town attorney Mel Daniels was also <br />present. <br />Council President Warthen gave the prayer. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilman Mathis to approve minutes of <br />- - May 21, 2019 meeting. Motion carried 3-0-2. Councilmen Mathis and Councilwoman Hester abstained. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Hester with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve minutes <br />of April 16, 2019 meeting. Motion carried 4-0-1. Councilman Rogers abstained. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Mathis to approve minutes of <br />May 7, 2019 meeting. Motion carried 3-0-2. Councilman Stanley and Councilwoman Hester abstained. <br />New Business: <br />Probuild-CF-1 <br />Real property was estimated at $2, 264,000 and actual was $2,247,876, estimated jobs was 60 and <br />actual is 61. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Rogers to approve <br />the Real Property CF -1. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Personal property was estimated at $500,000 and actual was $500,000 with estimated jobs at 60 and <br />actual is 61. A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve <br />the CF -1 for personal property for Pro Build. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Next, SB -1 for Powder Pro that has had a terrible fire and want to rebuild. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilwoman Hester to approve Declaratory Resolution #3 <br />Personal Property at $700,000 for a 5 -year abatement. Motion carried 5-0 <br />- A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve Declaratory <br />Resolution #4, Real Property, Last Move LLC, at 1.5 million dollars for a 6 -year abatement. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />The Confirmatory Public Hearing will be on the first meeting in July. <br />Washington Street Cemetery: <br />The Methodist Church wants to quit claim the cemetery over to the Town of Mooresville. The deed is <br />handwritten by Samuel Moore. Councilman Mathis will call the Methodist Church Treasurer to see if <br />they would pay for the quit -claim process. The Town of Mooresville mows the cemetery at present. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Rogers to go ahead and put the <br />Washington Street Cemetery in the Town of Mooresville's name. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to give Councilman <br />Mathis authorization to talk to the Methodist Church. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Roger to make an amendment <br />to the 2019 Salary Ordinance to eliminate the number of seasonal help David Moore, Street Supervisor <br />could hire as long as he stayed within the amount of money given in the budget for that year. Motion <br />carried 5-0. Attorney Daniel will prepare the amendment to the Salary Ordinance. <br />— Council President Warthen announced the Clerk -Treasurer had advertised for an additional <br />appropriation from Capital Cumulative Development for $197,038.00. This amount was funded out of <br />2018 budget, but the invoices didn't come in until the first of 2019. <br />Councilman Rogers commented he had gotten word that United Way would be moving from <br />Mooresville to Indianapolis on June 30, 2019. <br />Legal -None <br />Department reports -None <br />
