March 5, 2019 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at6:30 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were: Tom Warthen, David Rogers, Jessica Hester, Dustin Stanley, and Mark <br />Mathis. No members were absent. Town attorney Mel Daniel was present. <br />Tom Warthen gave the prayer. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilwoman Hester to approve minutes <br />of February 19, 2019 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />New Business: Award paving bid: <br />Wallace Construction, Inc withdrew their bid due to the company not being in compliance with the <br />grant. <br />The recommendation was to go with the 2nd lowest bid from Schutt-Looka bill Co., Inc., $516,208.05. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve the award <br />to Schutt-Looka bill Co, Inc. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Council President Warthen explained Mooresville pays 25% and the State pays 75%. Since the grant <br />began 2.2 million dollars of paving has been done in Mooresville. Thank you to State of Indiana. <br />Council President Warthen opened the Cemetery bids: <br />Not One Left Behind Lawncare <br />Integrity Outdoor Solutions <br />$595 per cutting <br />$1,800 per cutting -28 cuts per year <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilwoman Hester to take bids under <br />advisement and table to next meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Next. Council President Warthen opened wastewater clarifier bids: <br />Graves Plumbing $1,474,747.00 <br />Thieneman Construction $1.317,000.00 <br />Mitchell & Stark <br />Construction $1,597,220.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Stanley to table the clarifier <br />bids to March 19, 2019 so Darren, a representative from HNTB can check out the bids. Motion carried 5- <br />0. <br />Unfinished business: <br />Councilman Mathis had asked the county for the 911 funds on our citizens phone bill be forwarded to <br />Mooresville to support our dispatch. The Morgan County Council voted to send the money, $36,000 <br />annually to Mooresville. The details will be worked out. <br />Other Business: <br />Dave Moore -Street Superintendent reported the new recording/camera system is working tonight. <br />--- They are still working on the Animal Control policy and hope to have it ready by next meeting. <br />Town Council President Warthen announced the Town clean-up day with the Chamber of Commerce <br />will this year be named Joe Beikman Clean Up Day and is on Saturday, April 13, from gam to 3 pm. The <br />rain date is April 27. The headquarters will be at the Old Town Park and a light breakfast will be served <br />before the clean-up begins. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Stanley with a second by Councilman Mathis to support the Town <br />Clean Up Day.
