MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Thursday, June 3, 2021 6:OOpm <br />Mooresville Government Center <br />Commission Members present: Dustin Stanley, Ryan Taylor, Dana Heidenreich, Brian Culp and Virginia Perry. <br />School representative Dr. Larry Moore was also present. Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam <br />Steuerwald was present. Project Manager Chelsey Manns was in attendance. <br />Commissioner Stanley called the meeting to order. <br />Minutes: Minutes were presented from the May 6 executive session. Commissioner Perry made the motion to <br />approve the minutes. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. Minutes were presented <br />from the May 6 Public Meeting. Commissioner Taylor made the motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner <br />Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office. Project Manager Manns pointed out a <br />change in account numbers. Commissioner Culp made the motion to approve the financials as presented. <br />Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Mooresville Business Center Update: <br />Merriman and Bethel Road Update: Still no invoice for Crider and Crider. Testing on sanitary manhole after <br />repair is only outstanding item. The preliminary design for the signal at Merriman and SR 67 has been submitted <br />to INDOT. A decision will need to be made regarding the type of pole for the signal. The signal can be either a <br />string pole or a decorative pole. The intersection cost will be in the range of $250,000 and a decorative pole <br />would increase the cost by about $5,000. <br />Shell building update: Mike Runnebohm gave a report on the progress of the shell building. He said painting was <br />happening at the time and that guttering and buried drains would be added soon. He said completion of the <br />building is about three months out, but that it could be done more quickly if a buyer was found and required it. <br />Project Manager Manns said they are seeking clarification from SCI REMC about where the power line will be <br />bored under SR 67 at and when they will be completed. <br />High Street/SR 42: Project Manager Manns reported she had been in contact with INDOT regarding trees on <br />High Street. They replied that any request to install planters or trees would need to happen after the project is <br />complete and it is unlikely they would approve trees in the right of way. <br />Virtual meetings: Attorney Steuerwald detailed state requirements for a policy to meet virtually. He asked for <br />guidance and said he expected to have a draft ready for the July meeting. <br />2022 Pass through — Resolution 2021-2: Commissioner Perry made the motion to adopt the resolution as <br />presented. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Legal/Managerial Update: Project Manager Manns said she has been working with the economic development <br />corporation on Lot 15 and that progress has been made on the water extension for the Pauly property. <br />
