MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />Thursday, August 5, 20216:00pm <br />Mooresville Government Center <br />Commission Members present: Dustin Stanley, Dana Heidenreich, Brian Culp, Ryan Taylor and Virginia Perry. <br />School representative Dr. Larry Moore was also present. Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam <br />Steuerwald was present. Project Manager Chelsey Manns was in attendance. <br />Commissioner Stanley called the meeting to order. <br />Minutes: Minutes were presented from the July 1 executive session. Commissioner Perry made the motion to <br />approve the minutes. Commissioner Culp seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. Minutes were presented <br />from the July 1 Public Meeting. Commissioner Heidenreich made the motion to approve the minutes. <br />Commissioner Perry seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office. Commissioner Culp made the motion to <br />approve the financials as presented. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. <br />Mooresville Business Center Update: <br />Merriman and Bethel Road Update: There is one invoice left in the docket that is for Banning Engineering. It <br />was for time for coordination with SCI REMC when extending the electric lines. Came in $35,000 under budget. <br />Shell building update: An update from Runnebohm stated that last month west side downspout drainage piping <br />was installed, exterior painting was completed, roof to wall flashing was completed, steel reinforcement for <br />entrance is still in progress, electric was turned on Aug. 5. Need to get quotes to bush hog strip of land east of <br />Ind. 67. <br />High Street/SR 42: Project Manager Manns reported that the notice to proceed had been delivered, but pricing <br />forthe new signal at Monroe and High streets has not yet been determined. <br />Potential future projects: Commissioner Stanley discussed potential future projects as current projects near <br />completion. Said he would like to see us complete Gateway project on east and west Main Street. Would like to <br />see us build more shell buildings. <br />Legal/Managerial update: Manns said she is still coordinating with Banning Engineering on the polley hookup <br />for water. Also working with brokers for a tenant for the shell building. <br />Review of Claims: The claims were presented in the amount of $15,621. Commissioner Culp made the motion <br />to approve the claims as presented. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion which carried 5-0. <br />Public Comment: Shane Williams discussed needs for sidewalk repairs as part of Gateway discussion. He also <br />suggested updating the town's comprehensive plan. <br />The next meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021. <br />Commissioner Culp made the motion to adjourn. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried 5-0 <br />
