September <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. Board members present were Mark Taylor, Brian Wiser, <br />Lynn Adams, Erin Bechtold, Danny Shaw, and David Pearson. Supt. Brent Callahan., Asst. Supt. Kris <br />Wilson and Office Mgr. Stacy Freeman. Special guests, Les Dunkan and Kim Burgess. <br />Minutes of August 9, 2021, approved as written with changes to the second item. Motion made by <br />Danny Shaw, seconded by Lynn Adams. Motion carried. <br />Farmhouse Market/Tatooligans asked the Park Board to approve a wrestling match at Bicentennial <br />Park on September 18. The event will be general seating. The wrestling event will be from 5 — 7. The <br />wrestling event will be instead of a band. Motion to accept the use of Bicentennial Park for a wrestling <br />match. Motion made by David Pearson, second Mark Taylor. Motion carried. <br />President Brian Wiser updated the Board on old business. The Park discussed the ideas of the Farmers <br />Market moving to Pioneer Park in 2022. The tentative location in Pioneer Park is near Shelter 2. Board <br />would like an official presentation from the Farmers Market Rep. <br />Asst. Supt. Wilson informed the Board of the status of the Halloween Hike. Solicitation for volunteers <br />has begun. <br />Board Member Mark Taylor asked about the status of the pool heater and the antique gazebo. <br />Asst. Supt. Wilson requested PPE and safety items in an IPEP Grant. November 2021 is when we will <br />learn what, if anything, we were awarded. <br />Asst. Supt. Wilson requested approval for the new RECU employees (the list is provided in the pre - <br />meeting notes). Motion to approve the new employees. Motion made by Mark Taylor seconded by <br />Erin Bechtold. Motion carried. <br />Board Member Perry King, School Board Designee, resigned from the Park Board prior to the October <br />meeting. <br />Wallace Construction is working on resealing the basketball courts at Pioneer Park today. <br />Supt. Callahan turned in his retirement notice. October 31, 2021 will be his last day. <br />Claims approved as presented. Motion made by Mark Taylor, seconded by Erin Bechtold.
