MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES Monday, Oct. 4, 20215:00pm Mooresville Government Center Commission Members present: Dustin Stanley, Dana Heidenreich, Brian Culp and Virginia Perry. School representative Dr. Larry Moore was also present. Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam Steuerwald was present. Project Manager Chelsey Manns was in attendance. Commissioner Ryan Taylor was absent. Commissioner Stanley called the meeting to order. Minutes: Minutes were presented from the Sept. 2 executive session. Commissioner Perry made the motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Culp seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. Minutes were presented from the Sept. 2 Public Meeting. Commissioner Heidenreich made the motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Perry seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office. Commissioner Perry made the motion to approve the financials as presented. Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. Mooresville Business Center Update: Earthwork and grading are done. You can see where the glass is going to be. We are very close to finishing with the glass. Proposal presented from Banning Engineering in the amount of $4,500 for an American Land Title Association survey. Any closing documents will require an updated ALTA survey. Commissioner Culp made a motion to accept the proposal. Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. High Street/SR 42: No specific update Potential future projects: Project Manager Manns presented a proposed projects list from comments made during the Sept. 2 meeting along with potential timelines. The commission asked for a survey to be created and public input session set. The public input session was set for 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Mooresville Govt. Center. A survey was to be created and distributed. New Business: No new business. Legal/Managerial update: Commission Attorney Steuerwald handed out the updated version of the redevelopment commission handbook put together by his firm. Review of Claims: The claims were presented in the amount of $24,684.97. Commissioner Culp made the motion to approve the claims as presented. Commissioner Perry seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. Project Manager Manns pointed out an invoice from Banning Engineering in the amount of $1,771 that was for the completion of the Indiana Street project scope. The invoice was received after the claims were sent to the commission. The claim needed to be approved separately so the check could be sent out. Commissioner Culp made the motion to approve the additional claim as presented. Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 4-0.
