--�WNUTES FOR MOORESVILLE PARK & RECREATION DISTRICT BOARD <br />December 1 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:29 pm. Board members present were Mark Taylor, Brian Wiser, <br />Lynn Adams, Danny Shaw, Erin Bechtold, Matt Saner, and David Pearson. Asst. Supt. Kris Wilson and <br />Office Mgr. Stacy Freeman. <br />Minutes of November 8, 2021, approved as written. Motion made by David Pearson, seconded by <br />Lynn Adams. Motion carried. <br />A plaque was presented to Brian Wiser for his years on the Park Board, <br />The 2022 firework planning is underway. There will be a cost increase of up to 25%. Discussion <br />ensued. Funding could come from sponsorship to make up the difference from the lack of budget. <br />Alcohol Permit for the 2022 Summer Concert is needed. Moton to approve the alcohol permit for the <br />2022. Motion made by David Pearson, seconded by Lynn Adams. Motion carried. 5 to 1 <br />The contract with RD Productions is prepared and ready to be signed. The contract includes 5 summer <br />concerts (which includes July 4), and the September concert. A total of 6 concerts for 2022. A revenue <br />share of 20% from alcohol sales will be split between RD Productions and the Park. <br />Moton to approve RD Productions 2022 contract. Motion made by David Pearson, seconded by <br />Mark Taylor. Motion carried. <br />Assistant Superintendent, Kris Wilson updated the Board on the pool heater. The cost for <br />replacement vs repair is significant. Additional quotes from other vendors are being requested. Board <br />decision will need to be made in January. <br />Asst. Superintendent Kris Wilson updated the Board on the status of the Bicentennial Park. New LED <br />drivers were ordered. The privacy shield is on hold until next year. <br />Tornado Siren is still waiting for electricity. <br />Park Board discussed the open Superintended Position. Board interviewed two potential candidates. <br />Motion to approve Phil Parnin as the new Park Superintendent. Motion made by David Pearson, <br />seconded by Mark Taylor. Motion carried. 4 to 3 <br />Mark Taylor asked the Board to amend the motion to hire Phil Parnin. Amended motion to make a <br />job offer to Phil Parnin as the new Park Superintendent. Motion made to makejob offer to Phil Parnin <br />as the new Park Superintendent. Motion made by David Pearson, seconded by Mark Taylor. Motion <br />carried. 4 to 3 <br />Asst. Supt. Wilson discussed the 2022 Fee Proposal. Motion to approve the 2022 fee proposal. <br />Motion made by Erin Bechtold, seconded by Lynn Adams. Motion carried. <br />
