Mooresville Metropolitan <br />Police Department <br />Board of Police Commissioners <br />Ernie Wilson <br />Fred Settle <br />Christopher Hobbick <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES <br />These are the Minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on July 15, 2021. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Fred Settle, Ernie Wilson, Christopher Hobbick <br />ALSO PRESENT: Chief Kevin Julian, Sgt. David Schultz, Officer Brock Chipman <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the July 15th meeting. Christopher <br />Hobbick seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the August 19" meeting (it was <br />cancelled). Christopher Hobbick seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />No old business for the police commission or the attorney. <br />Chief Julian stated that he had some questions regarding the Bill of Rights that Attorney Braun <br />was working on. Christopher Hobbick stated that he did as well. There was discussion amongst <br />the parties present. Attorney Braun was able to provide answers and clarification to the Chief and <br />Police Commissioners. <br />Chief Julian updated the Police Commission on the stats that he received and advised that they <br />would be submitted via email to them. <br />Chief Julian updated the Police Commission on the progress of the four probationary officers. <br />Chief Julian updated the Police Commission on working with the newly formed Mooresville <br />Consolidated School Police Department. Chief Julian stated that it has been working well for <br />both departments. <br />Chief Julian updated that Police Commission on raising money at the Old Settlers Fair for the <br />department's K-9 program. Chief Julian stated that they were able to raise approximately $1600 <br />at the fair. Chief Julian stated that the K-9 fund has about $2600 in it currently. Chief Julian also <br />spoke about making the fund a line item and the Mooresville Town Board looking for money to <br />make it a line item. <br />
