TOWN OF MOORESVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO: 4-2022 <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A FUND FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO <br />RECEIVE A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Mooresville (the "Town") is a political subdivision <br />existing under the provisions of Ind, Code § 36-4-1, et. seq.; <br />WHEREAS, the Mooresville Town Council (the "Council") is the fiscal body of the <br />Town; <br />WHEREAS, in 2022, the Indiana Public Employers Plan ("IPEP") announced the <br />Town was a recipient of its 2022 safety grant award; <br />WHEREAS, the grant is intended to benefit the Mooresville Police Department; <br />WHEREAS, in order to accept the grant from IPEP, the Council must adopt an <br />ordinance to establish a fund for the proceeds to be deposited; <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the public interest to establish <br />a new fund for the purposes set forth herein. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mooresville Town Council as <br />follows: <br />1. CREATION OF FUND. The Town of Mooresville hereby creates and <br />establishes a fund tc be known as the "Mooresville Police IPEP Fund. <br />2. PURPOSE OF FUND. The sole purpose of the Mooresville Police IPEP <br />Fund is to receive and hold funds for the purpose of using such funds in <br />accordance with the rules proscribed by IPEP. <br />3. RESPONSIBILITY FOR FUND. The Clerk Treasurer shall be responsible <br />for all deposits into and, subject to Town Council approval, disbursements <br />out of the Mooresville Police IPEP Fund and shall keep records as to the <br />
