Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals <br />Minutes May 12th, 2022 <br />Members Present: Mike Young, David Saddler, Charles McGuire, Neal <br />Allman and attorney Cam Starnes. Jennifer Meador was absent. <br />Mike Young called the meeting to order and requested a motion on the <br />minutes, a motion was made to approve, seconded and passed 4-0. <br />First agenda item: Re -organization. Charles McGuire nominated Neal <br />Allman for Chairman, David Saddler seconded the motion and the <br />motion passed 4-0. Charles McGuire then nominated David Saddler for <br />Vice Chairman, that motion was seconded and passed 4-0. Mike Young <br />nominated Charles McGuire for secretary, that nomination was seconded <br />and passed 4-0. <br />Next agenda item: Variance request at 4935 E St Rd 144 by property <br />owner Kevin Kessinger. Mr. Kessinger is asking for the reduction of a <br />I Oft side set back to a 1 ft for the construction of a garage. Mike Young <br />confirmed all notification requirements had been met and then discussed <br />other options, no other option works. Neal Allman asked if a survey had <br />been completed, no but was being scheduled. Mr. Kessinger explained <br />how he arrived at his distances. Neal Allman called for question, when <br />none were asked, he called for a motion: David Saddler made the motion <br />to approve contingent upon a completed and submitted survey, Charles <br />McGuire seconded the motion and the motion passed 4-0. <br />Tammy VanHook presented the process for the rules and regulations. <br />When no further business was presented Charles McGuire made a <br />motion to adjourn, Mike Young seconded and motion carried 4-0. <br />hairman Secretary <br />
