MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION MINUTES <br />Thursday July 7, 2022 <br />Mooresville Government Center <br />Commission Members present: Brian Culp, Dustin Stanley, Erin Pipkin, Ryan Taylor and Dana Heidenreich. <br />School representative Jake Allen was absent. Project Manager Chelsey Manns was in attendance via phone. <br />Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam Steuerwald was present. <br />Commissioner Stanley called the meeting to order. <br />Minutes: Minutes were presented from the June 13 Executive Session. Commissioner Heidenreich made the <br />motion to approve the minutes. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Minutes were presented from the June 13 public meeting. Commissioner Pipkin made a motion to table the <br />minutes pending corrections. Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office. Commissioner Culp made the motion to <br />approve the financials as presented. Commissioner Taylor seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Mooresville Business Center Update: Project Manager Manns told the commission that grading at the shell <br />building was scheduled to begin as soon as July 8 and that seeding would occur later. She also said there has <br />some touch-up painting done. <br />Bush hog: Commissioner Culp made a motion to accept the bid of $6,760 from Mike Hardin for mowing to be <br />done before Aug. 20. Commissioner Pipkin seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />High Street/SR 42 Signal Pole Discussion: MOU being finalized. <br />Brownfield Assessment grant: Preliminary numbers being worked up, but state has not released grant details. <br />Main Street Subcommittee: Committee met to discuss beginning of process, will schedule walk of area. RFP <br />being created by Project Manager Manns. <br />Police Station fencing: Attorney Steuerwald reported the plan amendment for the fencing has been put on hold <br />pending zoning issues. <br />New Business: None. <br />Legal/Managerial update: Project Manager Manns reported Cushman and Wakefield have been fielding calls for <br />shell building and acreage. <br />Review of Claims: The claims were presented in the amount of $555,865.24. Commissioner Culp made the <br />motion to approve the claims as presented. Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Good of the order: Commissioner Pipkin reported on the committee for the comprehensive and thoroughfare <br />plans for Mooresville. The website should be live in a couple of weeks and there will be a public input meeting in <br />early August. <br />
