Mooresville Metropolitan Police Department Board of Police Commissioners Ernie Wilson Fred Settle Christopher Hobbick MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MINUTES These are the Minutes of the scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission held at the Mooresville Police Department on July 21th, 2022 at 6:00 PM. MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernie Wilson, Fred Settle, Christopher Hobbick ALSO PRESENT: Attorney Charles Braun, Brian Anderson, Interim -Chief Brock Chipman, Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM. Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the executive meeting on May 13tH 2022. Commissioner Settles second. No discussion. Motion passed. Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the executive meeting on May 14tH 2022. Commissioner Settles second. No discussion. Motion passed. Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from the May 19th, Mooresville Police Commission meeting. Commissioner Settles second. No discussion. Motion passed. Commissioner Hobbick gave an update on the process to hire the next Chief of police. He sated they received the background checks and hope to schedule meeting with the final candidates next week. After the meetings they hope to make a nomination for Chief of Police sometime next week. Interim -Chief Chipman spoke about the department stats for May 2022. Interim -Chief Chipman spoke about the department stats for June 2022. Commissioner Hobbick then read off questions sent to him by Town Council member Shane Williams in regards to the Town Councils involvement with the Chief of Police. Attorney Charles Braunn answered these questions. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, July 29th, 2022. THESSs PROVED ON THIS DAY THE 14th day of September 2022.
