ORDINANCE NO. 10-2022 ORDINANCE OF MOORESVILLE TOWN COUNCIL AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS WHEREAS, the Town of Mooresville (the "Town') is a municipality organized and existing entity under the provisions of Ind. Code 36-5-1; WHEREAS, the Council President (the "Executive") is the Executive of the Town; and WHEREAS, the Mooresville Town Council (the "Council') is the fiscal body of the Town; and - WHEREAS, at times, it becomes necessary to appropriate additional funds as contemplated and authorized under Ind. Code § 36-4-7-8; and WHEREAS, an additional appropriation of funds is necessary and the Council has authorized the appropriation of funds from the Motor Vehicle Highway Restricted Fund #2203 ("MVH Restricted Fund") to pay for the Town's grant match for the Community Crossings Grant, as well as a change order for curb installation on Harrison Ave. not covered by the Community Crossings Grant; and WHEREAS, in order to expend the funds transferred from the MVH Restricted Fund for the above stated purposes, the funds must be appropriated into the appropriate budget line items of the MVH Restricted Fund; and WHEREAS, further additional appropriation of funds is necessary and the Council has also authorized the appropriation of funds from the Cumulative Capital Development Fund #4402 ("CCD Fund") in order to pay for the demolition costs associated with a structure located at 1 & 3 Main Street, Mooresville, Indiana, work performed at the Government Center, and performance of repairs to Street Department equipment; and WHEREAS, in order to expend the funds from the CCD Fund for the above stated purposes, the funds must be appropriated into the appropriate budget line items of the CCD Fund; and WHEREAS, the Town h as caused notice of a hearing on said appropriations to be published as required by law; and C:\Users\aulbricht\Documents\Mooresville Additional Appropriation Ordinance - MVH -CCD 12-6-22 v3.DOCX
