Mooresville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners <br />Police Department Ernie Wilson <br />Fred Settle <br />Christopher Hobbick <br />MOORESVILLE POLICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />These are the minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Police Commission, <br />held at the Mooresville Police Department on November 18, 2022, <br />Members Present: Ernie Wilson, Christopher Hobbick, Fred Settle <br />Also Present: Chief Buckner, Attorney Braun <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM. <br />Ernie Wilson made a motion to accept the minutes from October meeting. Fred Settle seconded. <br />No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Hobbick advised that he had some edits regarding the Promotion SOP. He stated <br />that he has sent those to the Chief and they are working out the details. <br />No old business from the Chief of Police. <br />No new business from the Police Commission. <br />Chief Buckner updated the police commission on the hiring process. Chief Buckner provided the <br />names of three applicants that he would like to hire to fill the three open positions: Ryan Russell, <br />Ronald Capps and Austin Kane. <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion to hire Ryan Russell as a Mooresville Police Officer. <br />Commissioner Settle seconded. No discussion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion to hire Ronald Capps as a Mooresville Police Officer <br />pending the approval of PERF. Commissioner Settle seconded. No discussion. Motion passed <br />unanimously <br />Commissioner Wilson made a motion to hire Austin Kane as a Mooresville Police Officer <br />pending the approval of PERF. Commissioner Settle seconded. No discussion. Motion passed <br />unanimously <br />Chief Buckner advised that he had written a SOP regarding Body Cams. There was some <br />discussion between the Commissioners and Attorney Braun. SOP will be reviewed and possibly <br />approved at the December meeting. <br />
