MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES <br />Thursday, February 2, 2023 6:OOpm <br />Mooresville Government Center <br />Commission Members present: Brian Culp, Erin Pipkin, Ryan Taylor, Shane Williams and Dana <br />Heidenreich. Project Manager Chelsey Manns and School representative Jake Allen were also present. <br />Redevelopment Commission Attorney Adam Steuerwald was absent. <br />Commissioner Taylor called the meeting to order and led the group in the pledge followed by an <br />invocation. <br />Minutes: Minutes were presented from the January 5, 2023 regular meeting. Commissioner Heidenreich <br />made a motion to approve the minutes from the meeting as presented. Commissioner Culp seconded <br />the motion, which carried 4-0-1 (Williams) <br />Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office via email. Commissioner Pipkin <br />asked a for clarity on the Banning invoices regarding Carlisle and Monroe. Manns explained the Banning <br />invoices were for engineering services for the Mooresville Business Center as well as a portion of the <br />Monroe and Carlisle Street projects. Commissioner Culp made the motion to approve the financials as <br />presented. Commissioner Pipkin seconded the motion, which carried 5-0. <br />Mooresville Business Center Update: Project Manager Manns noted she's been working with engineers <br />and attorneys on the due -diligence period for the two purchase agreements. Additionally, she's shared <br />there's been 10 active requests on the shell building in the last month <br />Commissioner Williams asked if there were plans to landscape the shell building. Manns explained the <br />Commission previously had purposefully not landscaped the area because it was dependent on the end <br />user's needs what the landscaping needs would be. She did share she would be getting quotes for bush <br />hogging for the calendar year. <br />Police Station Project Request: Attorney Steuerwald presented Resolution 2023-2 which would <br />approve the reimbursement of the Town of Mooresville's Police Station Project. Manns clarified that <br />the Resolution formally adopts the motion made in January to approve the funding of the Police Station <br />Fence Project. Commissioner Culp made the motion to approve Resolution 2023-2 as presented. <br />Commissioner Heidenreich seconded the motion, which carried 4-0-1 (Williams). <br />New Business: No new business. No public comment <br />
