LXN• • • • • • •; MEMORIALTHE PARK • WHEREAS, the Mooresville Parks and Recreation District is a department operating within the Town as established by IC § 36-10-3-3; WHEREAS, the Mooresville Parks and Recreation Board ('Board"), recognized and created by the Mooresville Town Council in Ordinance 4-1987, oversees the Mooresville Parks and Recreation District, and has the authority to approve the "activities to be conducted on park property and the amount of facility, permit and program fees may be reviewed and approved periodically by the Board" pursuant to Indiana Code section 36-10-3-22(a) and Town of Mooresville Ordinance 8-2021 "MOORESVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION DISTRICT'S RULES AND REGULATIONS" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MOORESVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD AS FOLLOWS: PARKS DEPARTMENT - Parks Memorial Program The following program fees are assigned to the redeveloped and designed Parks Memorial Program and all funds collected will be placed in the fiscal body of the Parks Donation Fund. >> Memorial Tree ($5oo): Our Staff will assist with selection and location within your favorite park. For the best success, memorial trees will be planted in the fall of each year. Each tree will be paired with a memorial plaque with GPS coordinates of the location of the tree. An identical plaque will be placed on the Parks Office Memorial Tree Board. The Mooresville Parks and Recreation District will be responsible for the maintenance and replacement of memorial trees for five years after installation. >> Memorial Bench ($z,00®)a Add a place to rest and appreciate your favorite park or trail with a memorial bench. Our staff will assist with the placement of each bench which will feature either a memorial plaque or engraving. Memorial bench locations are limited until future park development has been completed. The Mooresville Parks and Recreation District will be responsible for the maintenance and replacement of memorial benches for five years after installation. >> Memorial Trail ($goo): Add a special reminder of where your loved one enjoyed the trails. Adopt a section of the trail to be named the memorial trail in honor of your loved one. The naming of the trail will remain for five years after which it will be up for renaming. This is to allow others to honor their loved ones in the same way. The Mooresville Parks and Recreation District will be responsible for the maintenance and replacement of memorial signage for five years after installation. All signage will be offered to the families after five years. >> Memorial Other: ($500 - $2,000+): Adding a place to rest and shade are standard memorials for park agencies. If you feel these don't meet what you were considering maybe some of these options would help. Other Memorial options: Park Picnic Table, Mini Picnic Shelter, Bike Rack Station, Bike Repair Station, Park Water Fountain, Picnic Shelter, Aquatic Center Addition, and Playground. 1
