Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals <br />Minutes November 9, 2023 <br />Members Present: Charles McGuire, Neal Allman, Jennifer Meador, Tammy <br />VanHook and attorney Ashley Ulbricht, Robert Alumbaugh was absent. <br />Neal Allman called the meeting to order then called for a motion on the previous <br />minutes: Charles McGuire motioned to approve minutes as presented, seconded by <br />Jennifer Meador. Minutes approved by 4-0 vote. <br />Variance 23-121: 22 Victor Dr. Property owner Logan Huskey presented his <br />request for the addition of in-law quarters to be attached to his home. During <br />questions Charles McGuire confirmed lot size, Tammy VanHook asked about long- <br />term plans, neighboring property owner confirmed the distance from her home to <br />an easement. After no further questions or comments Neal Allman called for a <br />motion: Jennifer Meador made the motion to approve, seconded by Tammy <br />VanHook and passed with a 4-0 vote. <br />Variance 23-122: E South St. John Holloway presented the request for allowance <br />of a two-family dwelling with variances of: 40ft to 12ft front yard setback, 3Oft to <br />6.2ft rear yard setback and overall lot coverage from 25% to 60%. During <br />questions and comments: water runoff, standing water, proximity to neighbor were <br />discussed. Neal Allman called for a motion: Charles McGuire made amotion to <br />approve, motion died for lack of a second. After discussion between Neal Allman <br />and attorney Ulbricht Charles McGuire made a motion to table, Jennifer Meador <br />seconded, and the motion died with a 2-2 vote. Attorney Ulbricht explained the <br />next steps.
