MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES <br />Thursday, August 1, 2024 6:00pm <br />Mooresville Government Center <br />Commission Members present: Brian Culp, Greg Swinney, Dana Heidenreich and Erin Pipkin were <br />present. Ryan Taylor and Dr. Jake Allen were absent. Project Manager Chelsey Manns and Attorney <br />Adam Steuerwald were present. <br />Commissioner Culp called the meeting to order and followed with the pledge and an invocation. <br />Minutes: Minutes were presented from the July 10, 2024 executive session and public meeting. <br />Commissioner Heidenreich made the motion to approve the minutes as presented. Commissioner <br />Swinney seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. <br />Financials: Financials were provided by the Clerk -Treasurer's office via email. Commissioner Pipkin <br />made the motion to approve the financials as presented. Commissioner Swinney seconded the motion, <br />which carried 4-0. <br />New Business: No new business. <br />Old Business: <br />Mooresville Business Center Update: Manns shared one of the poles on the southwest corner of SR67 <br />and Merriman Road are up for the new signal. The other three poles are not yet in. Morphey <br />Construction is currently working with SCIREMC to get power to the signal. They believe it will be able <br />to be up and operational by the third week of September. <br />Patel Site: Manns spoke with Banning Engineering Field Inspector Mike McCrary who shared they are <br />currently installing the 36" pipe. Construction is underway. <br />Main Street: Manns shared the overall comments received from the public event in June as well as the <br />online survey and office hours (attached for reference). She did share a directive from the <br />subcommittee was to keep in mind that ongoing maintenance is not something the Commission can pay <br />for so a design that is maintenance friendly is important. <br />Parks: No update. <br />Legal/Managerial Update: No legal update. <br />
