<br />MOORESVlLLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />TIIURSDA Y, SEPTEMBER 25, 1997 <br />7:00P. M. <br /> <br />The MooresviIle Plan commission met in regular session on Thursday, September 25, 1997 at <br />7:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Commission members present were: President Joel Beebe, Vem Kimmel, Charles McGuire, Bill <br />Abbott, Mike Young, and John Ehrhart. Commissioners Steve Campbell and Tim Bennett were <br />absent. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Kimmel, second by Commissioner Abbott to approve the <br />minutes of the August 28, 1997 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. Conunissioner McGuire abstained. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />David Burns appeared before the Commission to request a rezone ofhis property on the comer of <br />South Indiana Street and High Street from Residential to B-1. They want to rezone to rent to a <br />small business ( insurance agency as an example). There would be five (5) parking spaces. <br />Commissioner Abbott stated this property was shown as B-1 on the Comprehensive Plan. Motion <br />was made by Commissioner Ehrhart, second by Commissioner Abbott to recommend to the Town <br />Council to rezone ftom Residential to B-1. Motion canied 5-1. Commissioner McGuire opposed. <br />This will come before the Town Council meeting on October 7, 1997, at 7:30 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Next, Ross Holloway of Holloway and Associates presented the rezone of Southbridge CfOS88Ìng <br />to a PUD Commereial and plat approval of Lot 4A. Mr. Honoway stated he realized additional <br />fire hydrants are needed and the developers will conform to specifications. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Abbott, second by Conunissioner Ehrhart to determine the public road will not be <br />dedicated to the Town and will not need Bonding. Motion canied 6-0. <br /> <br />Town Attorney Tim Currens stated when Building Permits come in, all Ordinance standards will <br />have to be met or variances will have to be obtained. Approximately ten acres will not be <br />developed and part of this is retention area. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Abbott, second by Commissioner Kimmel to recommend to <br />the Town Council to rezone to a PUD Commercial and to grant final plat approval contingent <br />upon worl<ing with Fire Inspector Bruner on the amount of fire hydrants. Motion carried 6-0. <br />This rezone will come before the Town Council at the October 7, 1997 meeting. <br /> <br />Building Inspector Joe Beikman reported fifty-one (51) permits and eighty-five (85) inspections. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, a motion was made <br />_ by Conunissioner Ehrhart, second by Commissioner Kimmel to adjourn the meeting. Motion <br />carried 6-0. <br />
