<br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES <br />TIIURSDAY, APRIL 24,1997 <br />7:00 P. M. MOORESVILLE TOWN HALL <br /> <br />The MooresviIle Plan Commission met in regular session on Thursday, April 24, 1997, at <br />7:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Commission members present were: Vern Kimmel, Charles McGuire, Bill Abbott, President Joel <br />Beebe, Tim Bennett, Mike Young, John Ehrhart, and Steve Campbell. No members were absent. <br />The recently vacated position of Tim Cummins as of yet has not been re-appointed. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Ehrhart, second by Commissioner Campbell to approve the <br />minutes of the March 27, 1997 meeting. Motion carned 8-0. <br /> <br />'-...- <br /> <br />Kurt Freeman appeared before the Commission to request a special exception to the zoning of <br />Agriculture to 38.5 acres of land on the southeast corner of Landersdale Rd- 90 degree turn to the <br />right - bordered on two sides by Landersdale Road. The offer on the land is contigent upon this <br />special exception use. Motion was made by Commissioner Abbott, second by Charles McGuire to <br />find the special exception is not in conflict with the Master Plan. Motion carned 8-0. This now <br />goes to the Board of Zoning Appeals for the May 21, 1997 meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. McGuire -Motorama- appeared before the Commission again. The Plan Commission had <br />motioned a recommendation to the Town Council to rezone the land on the comer of Main Street <br />and Bridge Street to an I-I. The Town Council wanted a B-3 with a special exception. Motion <br />was made by Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Abbott to rezone to a B-3 with a <br />special exception. Motion carned 8-0. This now goes to the Board of Zoning Appeals at the May <br />21, 1997 meeting. <br /> <br />Holloway & Associates, Ross Holloway presented the Randy Beck Minor Plat. This is .97 acres <br />behind Pizza King. Motion was made by Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner <br />Abbott to accept the Minor Plat as proposed with the meeting of requirements of a PUD and a <br />covenant for maintenance of the drive way. Motion carned 8-0. <br /> <br />"v <br /> <br />Ross Holloway presented the Fisher Minor Plat- this is land east of Highway 67 at the intersection <br />of South Indiana Street and Highway 67. Lot 2 of the Minor Plat is 1 'Iz acres. Motion was made <br />by Commissioner Abbott, second by Commissioner Ehrhart to approve the Minor Plat on the <br />condition the sewer easement be drawn on the map before it is signed and recorded. Motion <br />carned unanimously. Also, the second part of the land parcel is zoned 1-1 instead of B-3 like the <br />other part of the parcel. Ross Holloway requested a change in zoning from 1-1 to a B-3. There <br />will be a retention pond on this part of the land. Motion was made by Commissioner <br />McGuire, second by Commissioner Campbell to recommend to the Town Council a change in <br />zoning ftom 1-1 to B-3. Motion carned unanimously. <br /> <br />Next, Ross Holloway presented the Deerwester Minor Plat. This is a two lot minor plat. Lot 1 <br />
