<br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met February 22, 1990, at the <br />Mooresville Town Hall. Present were Board Members Signe <br />Nicholson, William Abbott, Steve Edwards, Vernon Kimmel, Dave <br />Barry, Robert Tucker and Shirley Welker. The Board's Attorney, <br />Timothy C. Currens was also present. Chairperson Nicholson called <br />the meeting to order after determination of a quorum. The minutes <br /> <br />were approved as read. The first item on the agenda was a <br /> <br />discussion of the Redevelopment Plan presented by the Mooresville <br />Redevelopment Commission. The Board was advised by Attorney <br />Currens that the purpose for the Plan Commission review was to <br />determine whether or not the Declaratory Resolution and the Plan <br />conformed to the plan of development for the Town. <br />The Board opened the discussion with Signe Nicholson <br />'--- <br />objecting to the use of the proposed Master Land Use Plan in the <br /> <br /> <br />Redevelopment Plan since this proposed plan had not been approved <br /> <br /> <br />by the Plan Commission or the Town Council. Dave Barry stated <br /> <br /> <br />that he did not like the lengthy dissertation in the plan <br /> <br /> <br />concerning the sewer problems. William Abbott stated that he had <br /> <br /> <br />no problem using the proposed plan for an information base. Signe <br /> <br /> <br />Nicholson stated that she felt uncomfortable with this because the <br /> <br /> <br />citizens might disagree with the future Master Land Use Plan and <br /> <br /> <br />object to some of its contents when the public hearing is held. <br /> <br /> <br />Dave Kollmeyer, the President of the Redevelopment Commission, was <br /> <br /> <br />present and addressed the Board concerning the purpose of the tax <br /> <br /> <br />increment financing district. In particular, he stated that it <br /> <br /> <br />was the intent of the Redevelopment Commission to assist the Town <br /> <br />'--- <br />
