<br />MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at Town Hall on Thursday, <br />August 24, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Board Members William <br />Abbott, Signe Nicholson, Steve Edwards, Vern Kimmel, Robert <br /> <br />Tucker, Shirley Welker, Dave Barry, and Warren Franklin. Building <br /> <br />Inspector Joe Beikman and the Board's Attorney, Tim Currens were <br /> <br />also present. Vice-Chairperson Nicholson determined that a quorum <br /> <br />was present and proceeded with approval of minutes of the prlor <br /> <br />meeting. <br /> <br />The first item on the agenda was the petition for rezonlng <br />filed by Faye Goldman on the property located at 22 South Clay <br />Street requesting a local business classification from the current <br /> <br />residential zoning use. Mrs. Goldman was present in person and by <br /> <br />counsel, Ros Stovall. Ros Stovall advised that the proposed <br /> <br />'--' business would be the Treasure Chest which is currently operated <br /> <br />by Mrs. Goldman and sells beads to the general public along with <br />other crafts. The property in question is being purchased from <br />Clio Biviano subject to the rezoning. Mr. Stovall stated that he <br />felt local business is the highest and best use of the ground due <br />to the type of structure located on the property at 22 North Clay <br />Street and the prior use of said property as a pizza shop, bicycle <br />shop, motorcycle shop, and other business types of uses in the <br /> <br /> <br />past. He stated that traffic would be light and that Mrs. Goldman <br /> <br /> <br />did not need much parking for her business. Mrs. Goldman stated <br /> <br /> <br />that she intends to take out a portion of the building, which <br /> <br /> <br />would include the pizza ovens, which would allow for parking <br /> <br /> <br />adjacent to the building. She stated that her hours are generally <br />
