MINUTES OF THE MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION
The Mooresvi11e Plan Commission met at a specially called
session the 17th day of November, 1988 at the Mooresvil1e Town
Hall. Present were board members William Abbott, Steve Edwards,
Tilford Bailey, Warren Franklin, David Barry, Signe Nicholson,
Joel Beebe and Chairman Vernon Kimmel. The building inspector,
Joseph Beikman and the board's attorney, Timothy C. Currens were

also present.

Chairman Kimmel found that there was a quorum present and

proceeded to the approval of the minutes of the prior meeting.
The first item on the agenda was the zoning request of Century 21-
Abba & Associates, Inc. on the real property located at Seven West
High Street, Mooresville, Indiana. Present on behalf of Century
21-Abba & Associates was Diana L. Grindean and Gary Grindean, the

owners of the corporation. Diana Grindean spoke to the board and

explained the history of this property. In particular, she
pointed out that it was currently operating under a variance and
was being used as a real estate office. She advised that the
property had enjoyed several improvements and that a lot of time,
money and effort had gone into the building and grounds. She also
advised that the location had received two building improvement
awards by the Chamber of Commerce and was also being used as one
of the office examples in Century 21's national office
publication. In particular, she stated that she wanted to have
the property rezoned to protect the investment in the event that
something would happen to her. She also stated that the zoning
classification requested, professional business, was not available
