<br />"- <br /> <br />The Mooresville Plan Commission met at its regular meeting place, <br /> <br />the Town Hall, on May 28, 1987 at 7:30 P.M. Present were board members <br /> <br />Vern Kimmel, William Abbott, Steve Edwards, Warren Franklin, and Dave Barry. <br /> <br />The town building inspector, Joe Beikman was present and standing in for <br /> <br />board attorney, Tilimothy C. Currens was attorney, Michael A. Ksenak. <br /> <br />The vice-chairman, Vernon Kimmell, called the meeting to order and <br /> <br />determined that a quorom was present. The board proceeded to approve <br /> <br />the minutes of the prior meeting. The board then asked for business from <br /> <br />the floor. Present was Carl Thompson representing Ben Mendenhall regarding <br /> <br />the property located at the southwest corner of 445 East Carlisle and <br /> <br />Indianapolis Road in Mooresville, Indiana. Mr. Thompson indicated that <br /> <br />there had been a business operating out of the premises on that location <br /> <br />for over forty years and for some reason when the new map was approved this <br /> <br />parcel of land was zoned residential and it was Mr. Mendenhall's request <br /> <br />that the Planning Commission and the Town would initiate a change back to <br /> <br />general business classification. The board discussed the matter and <br /> <br />determined that the tract was in fact missed when the new map was passed. <br /> <br />Bill Abbott then moved to recommend the Town Board initiate whatever action <br /> <br />is necessary to properly zone that tract of land as general business. The <br /> <br />motion was seconded by Steve Edwards and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />The vice chairman then moved on to the first item under new business <br /> <br />which was the rezoning application of Catherine Baker House for the property <br /> <br />located at 46 West Main Street, Mooresville, Indiana. The board found no <br /> <br />remonstrators were present. Steve Edwards indicated that the purpose of this <br /> <br />petition, which was initiated by the Town, was to correct the error made when <br /> <br />this parcel of land was zoned residential when it falls clearly within the <br /> <br />business classification and was surrounded by business properties. Mr. Edwards <br /> <br />moved to recommend to <br /> <br />the Town Board that the parcel of land located at <br /> <br />- 1 - <br />
