<br />MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2001 <br /> <br />The MooresviJIe Plan Commission met in regular session on Thursday, February 22,2001, at <br />7:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Plan Commission members present were: President Joel Beebe, Jim Bruner, Chris Crouch, <br />Andy Pygman, John Ehrhart, Mike Young, Robert WiJliamson, and new member Robert Corbin. <br />Tim Bennett was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Bruner, second by Commissioner Pygman to approve <br />amended minutes (addition of the word approximately in paragraph #1 of page #2) from January <br />25th meeting, 2001. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />President Beebe welcomed new plan commission member Robert Corbin. <br /> <br />First on the agenda Foley & Foley representing Carlisle & Son, a request for rezone of property <br />located at 332 South Indiana Street. The request was for rezone from B-2 to R-l. Mr. Foley <br />explained to the commission that before the property was a B-2 it was R-I. It was zoned B-2 to <br />accomodate Jarboe as a leased occupant. Now, Jarboe needed a bigger place and has moved. <br />Mr. Carlisle has been unsuccessful at leasing as a business, but now has an interested party in <br />leasing the property as residential. Motion was made by Commissioner Pygman, second by <br />Commissioner Ehrhart to recommend to the Town Council to rezone this property to R-I. <br />Motion carried 8-0. This request is to be heard at the March 6,2001 meeting of the Mooresville <br />Town Council. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pygman asked the commissioners if they had seen the advertisement for casino <br />night at one of the local restaurants. They said they had not seen the ad. Town attorney Tim <br />Currens said anyone could forward this information to the County Prosecutor. <br /> <br />President Beebe told the commission that inadvertantly Robert WiJliamson had been left off the <br />Master Plan committee list. He will be added to the list. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ehrhart asked the commission that with the passing of Tim Wallman ( he had <br />written an editorial concerning a sign painted on a semi trailer parked on Bridge Street) if they <br />had thought about the town's ordinance on signs. Since it had been determined our present <br />Ordinance does not exclude semi-trailer signs. Commissioner Young asked if this could be <br />addressed in the new ordinance, possibly define trailer signs in the ordinance. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the commission at this time, Commissioner <br />Pygman motioned to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Plan Commission wil1 be March 22, 2001, at 7:00 P.
