.? <br /> <br /> MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> JANUARY 23, 1997, THURSDAY, 7:00 P.M. <br /> MOORESVILLE TOWN HALL <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met in regular session on <br /> Thursday, January 23, 1997 at 7:00 P.M. at the Mooresville <br /> Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Members present were: Chairman Joel Beebe, Bill Abbott, Mike <br /> Young, John Ehrhart, Vern Kimmel, Charles McGuire, Tim <br /> Bennett, and Steve Campbell, the appointee who replaced Art <br /> Raney. Tim Cummins was absent. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner McGuire, second by <br /> Commissioner Abbott to approve the minutes of the December <br /> 18, 1996 meeting. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br /> Reorganization of the Commission was next on the agenda. <br /> Motion was made by Charles McGuire, second by Bill Abbott to <br /> keep Joel Beebe as Chairman. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by John Ehrhart, second by Mike Young to <br /> apppoint Charles McGuire as Vice-Chairman. Motion carried 8- <br /> 0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Charles McGuire second by Mike Young to , <br /> appoint Vern Kimmel as Commission Secretary. Motion carried <br /> 8-0. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Charles McGuire, second by Vern Kimmel to <br /> keep Charles McGuire as the Commission,s representative on <br /> the Board of Zoning Appeals. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br /> Bob Griffen, land surveyor for Jessup Place, appeared before <br /> the Commission to ask for final Plat Approval. Cindy <br /> Breedlove, 880 St. Rd. 42, asked about the Board of Health <br /> reports on the two (2) lots next to her. The finding: Might <br /> require a perimeter drain for surface water diversion to the <br /> lower water table. Motion was made by Bill Abbott to grant <br /> the Final Plat Approval on Jessup Place, seconded by John <br /> Ehrhart. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Young asked the question; Why are backs of <br /> houses being put on the main road where houses across the <br /> road would face. Commissioner Abbott said if all houses <br /> faced off the main road more driveway permits would be <br /> needed. Chairman Beebe suggested all the Commission members <br /> gather thoughts on this subject and discuss at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> <br /> Building Inspector Joe Beikman reported fifteen(15) new <br /> permits issued and fifty-seven (57) inspections completed. <br /> <br /> <br />
