Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held <br /> Tuesday, January 7, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> P re~ ~~ <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />/~lerk-Treasurer ~ <br /> <br /> January 7, 1992 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held <br /> Tuesday, January 7, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Tim <br /> Viles, Steve Edwards and Steve Ballard. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Councilman Edwards nominated Councilman Steve Ballard for <br /> Council President, Councilwoman Overholser second. Councilman <br /> Edwards made a motion nominations for Council President be closed <br /> Councilman Viles second. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Council voted unanimously in favor of Councilman Ballard for <br /> Council President. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles to elect Councilwoman <br /> Overholser Council Vice President, Councilman Heald second. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker reminded the <br /> Council that the Chamber of Commerce Annual meeting will be held <br /> Monday, January 13, 1992. <br /> <br /> Mr. Haymaker informed the Council that the food and beverage <br /> tax distribution for 1991 was $156,700.00. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mark Taylor, Animal Control officer reported he has re- <br /> ceived (8) calls in the past two weeks. Eleven (11) dogs were <br /> impounded one (1) dog returned to the owner, nine (9) dogs taken to <br /> the county and one (1) dog is in the town kennel. <br /> <br /> Motion to pay the bills and claims was made by Councilman <br /> Heald, second by Councilwoman Overholser. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens advised the Council by telephone he <br /> would be late for the Council meeting. Councilman Heald made a <br /> motion to recess until the arrival of Mr. Currens, Councilman <br /> Edwards second. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> The Council was reconvened by Council President Ballard upon <br /> the arrival of Town attorney Tim Currens. <br /> <br /> Council President Ballard re-appointed Joel Beebe and Robert <br /> Tucker to the Plan Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
