14'1 Motion to pay the bills and claims were made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Edwards. Motion carried unanamously. There being no further business to come before the Council at this time motion was made by Councilman Forbes to adjourn, second by Councilman Ballard. Motion carried unanamously. The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held Tuesday, January 7, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. P re~ ~~ ATTEST: /~lerk-Treasurer ~ January 7, 1992 The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, January 7, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Tim Viles, Steve Edwards and Steve Ballard. No members were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Councilman Edwards nominated Councilman Steve Ballard for Council President, Councilwoman Overholser second. Councilman Edwards made a motion nominations for Council President be closed Councilman Viles second. Motion carried unanimously. Council voted unanimously in favor of Councilman Ballard for Council President. Motion was made by Councilman Viles to elect Councilwoman Overholser Council Vice President, Councilman Heald second. Motion carried unanimously. Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker reminded the Council that the Chamber of Commerce Annual meeting will be held Monday, January 13, 1992. Mr. Haymaker informed the Council that the food and beverage tax distribution for 1991 was $156,700.00. Mr. Mark Taylor, Animal Control officer reported he has re- ceived (8) calls in the past two weeks. Eleven (11) dogs were impounded one (1) dog returned to the owner, nine (9) dogs taken to the county and one (1) dog is in the town kennel. Motion to pay the bills and claims was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilwoman Overholser. Motion carried unanimously. Town attorney Tim Currens advised the Council by telephone he would be late for the Council meeting. Councilman Heald made a motion to recess until the arrival of Mr. Currens, Councilman Edwards second. Motion carried unanimously. The Council was reconvened by Council President Ballard upon the arrival of Town attorney Tim Currens. Council President Ballard re-appointed Joel Beebe and Robert Tucker to the Plan Commission.
