No members were absent. <br /> <br /> New Business: Council President Mathis reveiwed the Resolution of <br /> the Monday, February 5, 1996 meeting concerning the purchase of the old <br /> Post Office Building at 104 West Main Street. <br /> <br /> The Hancocks agreed to a purchase price of £105,000 with closing <br /> on March 1, 1996. An extra forty-five (~5) days was also agreed upon if <br /> funding could not be established by a March 1, 1996 closing. The Hancocks <br /> will have an extra 15 days after closing to remove personal items from <br /> the building. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Wright <br /> to proceed with the drafting of the purchase agreement.
