" 311 <br />There being no further business before the Town Council at <br />this time, motion was made by Councilman Dolen,second by <br />Councilman Hensley to adjourn. Motion carried unan±mously. <br /> <br />The next regular scheduled meeting will be in the Mooresville <br />Town Hall on Monday, April 15, 1996 at 7:30 p. m. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br /> Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br /> April 15, 1996 <br /> <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session Monday April 15, 1996 <br />at the Mooresville Town Hall at 7:30 P. M. <br /> <br />Council Members present were Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, Jim Hensley, and <br />Andy Pygman. Council member Bill Wright was absent. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Jim Hensley, second by Andy Pygman to approve the <br />minutes of the April 1, 1996 meeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Steve Wagman and Jesse Hughes addressed the Council again on the <br />possibility of annexing Brookmoore into the Town of Mooresville and <br />extending the sewer system to them. After a discussion Town Council <br />President Mark Mathis asked the Department Heads of the Police Department, <br />the Street Department, the ~ire Department, and the Waste Water Treatment <br />Department to conduct studies and report to the Town Council. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Jim Hensley, second by Toby Dolen to approve the one- <br />time sewer exemption for a swimming pool fill for Heather Stewart residing <br />at 56 Sweetwood Drive. Following a discussion the motion carried three <br />to one (3-1). Council President Mark Mathis opposed. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Hensley to <br />accept the bid for Cemetery mowing from M. & S. Lawncare. Their mowing <br />bid was actually lower due to the fact the extra area is not mowed at <br />every mowing. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Hensley addressed the problems concerning the property on <br />the south side of South Street. Chief Viles of the Police Department <br />will talk to the property owner this next week and enforce the Ordinance <br />in an effort to clean up the property. <br /> <br />Town Attorney Tim Viies presented a proposed Utility Easement for Hoosier <br />Energy located between Haltom Equipment and Carpenter Real Estate. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Hensley, second by Councilman Pygman to <br />approve the Utility Easement subject to the changes Joe Beikman and <br />Attorney Tim Currens propose concerning our existing and future <br />sanitary lines in that area. Motion carried three to one (3-1) with <br />Councilman Dolen opposed. <br /> <br /> Police Chief Tim Viles reported a town wide Clean Up Day on Saturday, <br />April 27, 1996 from 9:00 A. M. until noon. Ordinances will be utilized. <br /> <br /> The Town Auctionwill be held on Saturday April 20, 1996 at 9:00 A. M. <br /> Paul and Carolyn ~.~son donated their time to help with the Auction. The <br /> Town thanks them. <br /> <br /> Fire Chief Darrell Brown had Les Farmer, the Mooresville Fire Department <br /> Training Officer speak to the Council about a satellite training program <br /> for firefighters called FETN. The programwould cost two-thousand <br /> seven hundred sixty dollars ($2,760) for a year contract. This program <br /> <br /> <br />
