7~ <br />On the issue of the downtown lighting,lPL has decided they want to have sonotubes <br />placed in the concrete pads before the concrete is poured so that if a pole needs replaced <br />at some point in time they can just remove the pole from the tube and put in a new one. <br />They are now waiting far Midwest to come back and put the sonotubes in. Joe Beikman <br />received bids from Swinney Brothers and one other company to replace the concrete after <br />the sonotubes are in place., One bid was for $143 per pad. Swinney Brothers weren't <br />sure which contractor they could get now and the cost could be as much as $1 SO per pad. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields, second by Councilman Dolen to accept a <br />bid up to $150 per pad from whoever could get to it the quickest. Motion carried 5-0. <br />On the issue of the Christmas decorations, IPL told Jae Beikman that three of their <br />employees who live in Mooresville were willing to donate their time this weekend, <br />weather permitting, to run the drops for the lights. They do not have a final policy in <br />place for the height of the brackets so they will be left where they are for now. <br />Councilman Shields wanted to let the Council know that Rosemary Rogers had asked <br />him if they could use the sanctuary at the Methodist Church for the puppet show during <br />Victorian Christmas. He stated he has been through the church recently and the <br />sanctuary is pretty well cleaned up and cleared out and he had asked Joe Beikman if it <br />was safe for them to use and Joe said it was. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shields, second by Councilman Clark to allow the <br />puppet show for the Victorian Christmas to be held in the sanctuary. of the Methodist <br />Church. Motion carried 5-0. <br />President Worthen stated that he would like the Stormwater Management Plan to be the <br />first item on the agenda for the December 7`~ meeting. He stated that he had some <br />questions for Joe Beikman and encouraged the Council members to contact Joe with any <br />questions they might have as well. <br />In the Wastewater department, President Worthen stated that he had contacted Paul <br />Claxton with IDEM anal let him know that the Town has accepted a contract with HNTB <br />an the plant expansion project and Mr. Claxton was pleased with the progress. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor reported eighteen calls, six. impounds and five <br />returns. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the <br />payment of the claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion for <br />adjournment was made by Cauncihnan Dolen, second by Councilman Shields.
