105'7 10-8-2012 The Mooresville Town Council met in a special session on Monday, October 8,2012, at 6:00 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. Council members present were: President George Watkins,Vice-President Mark Mathis, Virginia Perry, and Jeff Cook. Tony Langley was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. This meeting was a special meeting for a street closing permit on October 14, 2012 from 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Requested by Jeff Whitney. There will be a car show, food, and music the same as last year. No minutes were ready to be approved. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Cook to approve the street closing of West Main Street for the Roots &Rhythms Festival. Motion passed 4-0. There being no further business before the council at this time, a motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilwoman Perry to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 4-0. The next scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council is Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. eorge atkins, President ATTEST: Sandra R. Perry, Clerk-Treasurer Oct. 16, 2012 The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. Council members present: Vice President Mark Mathis, Tony Langley,Virginia Perry, and Jeff Cook. President George Watkins was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. Al Pierce, First Baptist Church, gave the invocation. A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve minutes of October 2, 2012 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. Chris Gale from FINTB was present at the meeting and presented Change Order#5 and substantial completion from Wilhelm for the Wastewater expansion. Some punch list items need to be done yet. Seven structures are substantially complete and the warranty begins when signed. The town is getting benefits from what has been completed. Change order#5 addresses several items to improve with an increase of$125,197.00 and no additional time. A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Cook to approve change order#5 and substantial compliance. Motion carried 4-0.
