S <br /> TOWN OF MOORESVILLE <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> DECEMBER 8, 2011 <br /> Members present, where Chairman Mike Young. Commissioners, Ann Whaley. Beverly <br /> Viles, Charles Berwick, Perry King, Jeff Dieterlen and Bill Colbert. Darrell Brown and <br /> Brian Anderson were absent.The Town Attorney Tim Currens. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Young, at this time he asked for any <br /> question or corrections on the minutes from the meeting Oct. 27, 2011. Ann Whaley <br /> motioned to accept the minutes with the second coming from Bill Colbert;the vote was <br /> 7-0 with none opposed. <br /> The first order business was Russell Brown representing Verizon Wirless, asking for a <br /> special exception to build a 195 foot wireless communication facility, with 4 foot lighting <br /> Rod with a total height 199 feet. The tower will be on the property of The Church At Mt. <br /> Gilead at 6019 E State Road 144, the entrance will be on Kitchen Road they are asking <br /> for a referral to the Board of Zoning Appeals. The entrance will be off of Kitchen Road, <br /> he said that it sets deep into the property approximately 500 feet from Kitchen Road. He <br /> said that it will be a low traffic. Mr. Brown asked that the Special Exception be referred <br /> to the Board of Zoning Appeals for the March 8, 2012 meeting. Commissioner Viles <br /> asked how tall a tower had to be to be required to have lighting, Mr. Brown said 200 feet. <br /> Commissioner asked about the access,they reply was that the access on the church <br /> property and they are covered on the lease for maintenance access. With no other <br /> questions or comments a motion was made by Commissioner Colbert motioned to refer <br /> the Special Exception to the Board of Zoning Appeals. (Would,not adversely affect the <br /> master plan), Commissioner Viles seconded the motion with a 7-0 vote with none <br /> opposed. With no other business Commissioner Viles motioned to adjourn, seconded by <br /> Commissioner King the motion carried 7-0 with none opposed. <br /> The next meeting will be January .26, 2012 <br /> i • <br /> airman: <br /> Secretary <br />
