MOORESVILLE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> MINUTES <br /> THURSDAY, JULY 28, 2005 <br /> The Mooresville Plan Commission met on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the <br /> Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> Commission members present were: Chairman, Mike Young, Charles McGuire, Troy <br /> Bryant, Charles Berwick, Robert Corbin, John Ehrhart, Robert Williamson and Darrell <br /> Brown. Member, James Logan was absent. Town Attorney, Tim Currens was present. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Ehrhart, second by Commissioner Bryant to <br /> approve the minutes of the June 23, 2005 meeting. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> The first item on the agenda was Holloway Engineering, representing Dan Roberts for a <br /> Preliminary Plat on Keller Hill Road that was continued from the Mays meeting. The <br /> Town Council had approved the rezone of the property at the July 19t meeting, however <br /> Ross Holloway stated that they had not had adequate time to prepare and asked for a <br /> continuance to the August meeting. <br /> A motion to continue was made by Commissioner Williamson, second by Commissioner <br /> Corbin. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> The next item on the agenda was Stephanie Burns for a two-lot minor plat at 4663 E. <br /> Shady Lane. Because the septic plan has not been completed, they also asked for a <br /> continuance. <br /> A motion to continue the Burns minor plat to the August meeting was made by <br /> Commissioner Williamson, second by Commissioner Bryant. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> Next on the agenda was Holloway Engineering,representing Steve Striebeck for a <br /> Rezone from Residential to PUD-E on North Indiana Street. A hand-out was given to the <br /> Commission members explaining the development. It is the property across from the St. <br /> Thomas More Catholic Church and next to the doctor's office. They are seeking a PUD- <br /> E for mixed use in order to keep the doctor's office there as a professional building and <br /> add a multi-family development on the remaining property. The individual buildings <br /> would be owned by different owners but the common areas would be maintained by all of <br /> the owners. They are proposing five residential buildings with eight units each. Attorney, <br /> Tim Currens explained that the certified letters to the surrounding homeowners went out <br /> with the wrong meeting date. Therefore, this would need to be continued to the August <br /> meeting and new notices would need to be sent. Mr. Holloway stated that he would <br /> request a continuance but would like to hear any concerns that the Commission had. <br /> Commissioner Ehrhart stated that he would like to see hardy plank instead of vinyl on the <br /> second floor. Commissioner Williamson stated that he thought it was extremely high <br /> density for that area. Chairman Young asked about there being no sidewalks and <br />
