access to Mooresville does not alter the property owner' s duty to <br /> maintain the property' s drainage facilities . <br /> 7 . 0 Flood Control and Management <br /> Water bodies, roadways, structures and other property in <br /> Mooresville are subjected to flooding. In order to help minimize <br /> the occurrence and impact of flooding resulting in the loss of <br /> 0 life and/or property, the following are required: <br /> FEMA Studied Waterways : <br /> 7 . 1 FEMA Floodway/Floodplain Delineation - All plans <br /> submitted shall have the floodway (FW) and floodplain <br /> (FP) delineated on the grading plan (s) as scaled from <br /> the FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps . A reference to the <br /> panel number and date of the map shall also be <br /> included. Where no FW is delineated, the entire <br /> floodplain shall be assumed to be the FW. <br /> 7 .2 100-year Base Flood Elevation (BFE) - The 100--year BFE <br /> shall be noted on the grading plan(s) . This BFE shall <br /> be determined using the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and <br /> the appropriate plate. A note referencing the plate <br /> number and date shall be included on the plans . <br /> Non-FEMA Studied Waterways (Greater Than 1 Square Mile Drainage <br /> Basin) : <br /> 7 . 3 DNR Floodway/Floodplain Delineation - All plans shall <br /> have the FW and FP delineated as determined by the DNR. <br /> A note referencing the DNR determination and a copy of <br /> the DNR response letter shall be provided prior to <br /> approval by the Mooresville Drainage Board. <br /> Basins Less Than 1 Square Mile in Area: <br /> 7 .4 Floodplain delineation - All waterways with drainage <br /> basins less than one (1) square mile and greater than <br /> 25 acres shall have the 100-yr BFE determined by <br /> methods outlined in the Mooresville Stormwater Design <br /> Manual and delineated on the plans . Complete <br /> documentation of this determination shall be included <br /> with the submission. <br /> 0 No structures shall be located in a FEMA or DNR designated <br /> floodway.
