1155 <br /> July 15, 2014 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday,July 15, 2014, at 6:30 P. M. at the <br /> Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Town Council members present were: President Mark Mathis,Vice-President Virginia Perry, George <br /> Watkins, and Jeff Cook. Tony Langley was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> Gary Lester, Community Church, gave the invocation. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve minutes <br /> of July 1st meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Public Hearing: A confirmatory resolution for Linel 3 year abatement on personal property. There were <br /> no comments or questions from the Public or from the Town Council. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Watkins with a second from Councilwoman Perry to close the Public <br /> Hearing. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made to approve Confirmatory Resolution 10, 2014 for Linel three year abatement on <br /> personal property by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilwoman Perry. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Councilman Cook reported he was approached about giving flu shots to employees at$12.00 each and <br /> he is prepared to pay for this from his budget. Councilman Cook put this in the form of a motion and a <br /> second came from Councilman Watkins. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Councilman Watkins reported to the council that at the next meeting(August 5, 2014 they would have a <br /> discussion of the Public Safety Dispatch. <br /> Council President Mathis reported to everyone that quotes for a new sound system in the meeting room <br /> were being accepted. <br /> A motion was made by Councilwoman Perry to approve payment of the claims in the amount of <br /> $530,384.47. Councilman Watkins seconded. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion to adjourn was made <br /> by Councilman Watkins with a second by Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council is August 5, 2014, at 6:30 P.
