ORDINANCE ~ 1993 <br /> ORDINANCE ADOPTING FIRE FLOW STANDARDS FOR RESIDENTIAL AREAS IN THE CIVIL TOWN OF MOORESVILLE, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of the Town Council of the <br />Civil Town of Mooresville to establish reasonable regulations for <br />the protec'tion of the lives, health, safety and property of the <br />citizens of the Civil Town of Mooresville and to enforce <br />compliance with such regulations; BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the <br />Town Council of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Morgan County, <br />lc]dial]a: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Civil Town of Mooresville hereby does <br />now adopt certain residential fire flow requirements to become <br />applicable to all future residential development for one and two <br />family dwellings in the Town of Mooresville not exceeding two <br />stories in height: <br /> <br /> Distance between buildings <br />Over ]00 Feet <br /> <br />Needed Fire Flow <br /> <br />500 G.P.M <br /> <br />3] to 100 Feet 750 G.P.M <br /> <br />]~ to 30 Feet <br /> <br />]0 Feet or Less <br /> <br />~000 G.P.M <br /> <br />1500 G.P.M. <br /> <br /> Section II. That the Fire Chief for the Town of Mooresville <br />or any Deputies designated by him are hereby authorized and <br />empowered to enforce the p~ovisions of this Ordinance along with <br />the Town Council and the persons designated by the Town Council. <br /> <br /> Section III. That the Town Building Inspector and Fire Chief <br />shall work with any local water utility in obtaining the needed <br />fire flows for areas designated for single family and two family <br />dwellings to obtain the necessary fire flows. <br /> <br /> Section IV. That this Ordinance shall be in full force in <br />effect from and after its passage and due publication. <br /> <br /> The foregoing Ordinance adopted by the Town Council of the <br />Civil Town of Mooresville this ]8th'day of May, ]993. <br /> <br /> <br />
