<br />· <br /> <br />DEVELOPMENT GOALS AND POLICIES <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />From the existing conditions of the town as described in the <br />previous section, attention is directed to the future a This <br />section of the MooresviIle Comprehensive Plan contains four <br />major goals for town development. The goals describe the ideal <br />state of affairs with respect to Mooresville's: <br /> <br />a. Business and Industry <br />b. Traffic and Circulation <br />c. Housing and Services <br />d. Atmosphere and Image <br />e. Comprehensive Plan Implementation <br /> <br />Following each goal is a series of policy statements. The poli- <br />cies are intended to define how each goal should be attained. <br />The POlicies are the guidelines that the various town councils, <br />boards and commissions should consider when making decisions <br />.hat affect the future development of the town. <br /> <br />The development goals and policies provide the basis for the <br />final section of this document. There, within the context of <br />existing conditions, the development policies are applied to the <br />question of future land Use.
