I by the Fire Chief or Designated deputies after receipt of such notice to make the structure, or portion thereof, comply with the requirements of the ordinance and the Indiana Fire Prevention Code. SECTION VI (1) That the Fire Chief or his designated deputy shall investigate the origin, cause, and circumstances of any fire of unknown origin occurring within the Civil Town of Mooresville. So far as is possible, the Fire Chief or his designated deputy shall determine whether the fire is the result of carelessness, or is by design. (2) That the Fire Chief or his designated deputy shall investigate, assist in the prosecution of, and support suppression of, arson and other crlmes associated with the destruction or attempted destruction of property by fire in the Civil Town of Mooresville, shall take immediate charge of physical evidence, notify any other authority designated by law to assist in the investigation of such mattes, and cooperate with such other authorities in the prosecution of the case. SECTION VII If any person, firm or corporation shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance, or shall do any act prohibited herein, or shall fail to perform any duty lawfully enjoined, within the time prescribed by the Fire Chief or designated deputy, or shall fail, neglect or refuse to obey any lawful order given by the Fire Chief or designated deputy in connection with the provisions of this ordinance for each such violation, failure or refusal, such person, firm or corporation shall be fined in any sum not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00), nor more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00). Each day of such unlawful activity as lS prohibited by the first sentence of this section shall constitute a separate offense.
