August 18, 2015 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 630 P. M. at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were: Vice - President Virginia Perry, Tony Langley, Jeff Cook, and Joe Beikman. <br />Mark Mathis was absent. Attorney Tim Currens was present. <br />The prayer was given by Bill Blaschke from Life Point Community Church of the Nazarene. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Beikman to approve minutes <br />from August 4 and August 11 meetings. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />Paving Bids: Midwest Paving $316,854.00 <br />Milestone Paving $381.390.00 <br />Wallace Paving $232,011.00 <br />Dave will review. <br />Luke Clair - Ficko, Mooresville High School Student Body President appeared before the council with a <br />request to close streets for the Homecoming Parade on September 18, 2015 at 5:00 P. M. A motion was <br />.made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Beikman to approve the road closing. <br />Motion carried 4 -0. <br />Next was a request for room usage by Cathy Coss. This is for a baby shower in the Lion's Den on <br />October 24, 2015 from 10 am to 6 pm. A motion was made to approve the request by Councilman <br />Beikman with a second by Councilman Langley. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />Council Vice President Perry reported on the North Indiana Street ditch study committee. They met on <br />Tuesday and discussed Banning Engineering for the Engineering study or Primary Engineering Report. <br />This will be at the next meeting on September 1, 2015 to decide to do a contract. The council will make <br />the decision. <br />Legal: None <br />A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Beikman to approve payment <br />of the claims in the amount of $418,464.10. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Cook to table the paving bid <br />award to the September 1, 2015 meeting for further review. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by <br />Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Cook to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on Tuesday, September 1, <br />2015 at 6:30 P.
