Plan Commission Minutes Thursday July 27th 2017 Members present: Tammy VanHook, Dennis Chambers, Dave Moore, Joe Beikman, Perry King, Robert Alumbaugh and Jeff Dieterlen Mike Young called the meeting to order and then called for a motion on the previous minutes; Perry King made a motion to accept the minutes, the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. The first item on the agenda is a rezone recommendation for David and Derek Carter at 119 S. Clay St, presented by John Larrison of Holloway Engineering. Mr. Carter has previously been before the Board of Zoning Appeals requesting a variance; however the BZA indicated that a rezone would be more in line with the neighboring properties. The request is for a small alternator / electrical mechanics shop to go from RI to B2. Mike Young called for questions, Jeff Dieterlen confirmed that a variance would not be needed if the rezone was granted. Joe Beikman confirmed that state notifications would be made and any necessary compliance met. When no further questions were asked David Moore made the motion to recommend 119 S Clay Street be rezoned from RI to B2 to the Town Council. Perry King seconded the recommendation and the recommendation will be presented to the Town Council with a unanimous recommendation. There have been 27 permits and 74 inspections since the last meeting. There was no new business brought before the Plan Commission.
