Mooresville Plan Commission Thursday August 24`x', 2017 Members present: Tammy VanHook, David Moore, Perry King, Jeff Dieterlen, Dennis Chambers, Joe Beikman, Mike Young and town attorney Tim Currens Mike Young called the meeting to order, and then called for a motion on the previous minutes. Perry King made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, Jeff Dieterlen seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. First item on the agenda is an amendment to the Town of Mooresville Economic Development Consolidated Plan 2015 Expansion Area "The 2017 Amendment". Mike Young confirmed with Tim Currens that the role of the Plan Commission was to determine that any amendments and or changes were in line with the Mooresville Master Use Plan. Jeff Dieterlen questioned the properties purposed in the amendment, the possibility of holding off until annexation questions had been addressed Tim Currens stated that the Plan Commission review and acceptance were the first step in the amendment process. Joe Beikman stated that properties purposed were neighboring other properties zoned industrial. Additional items in the amendment were discussed; the scholarship fund, the funds to assist with the new Police Station remodel, and workforce development item, however these items are not under the master use plan and the property is the Plan Commissions priority for review. Dennis Chambers confirmed that waiting to act could be detrimental to the amendment process. When no further questions were asked Mike Young called for a motion, David Moore made a motion to approve the amendment Perry King seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. Inspections and Permit report will be made current at the next meeting.
