Mooresville Plan Commission <br />Thursday August 24`x', 2017 <br />Members present: Tammy VanHook, David Moore, Perry King, Jeff <br />Dieterlen, Dennis Chambers, Joe Beikman, Mike Young and town <br />attorney Tim Currens <br />Mike Young called the meeting to order, and then called for a motion <br />on the previous minutes. Perry King made a motion to accept the <br />minutes as presented, Jeff Dieterlen seconded the motion and the <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />First item on the agenda is an amendment to the Town of Mooresville <br />Economic Development Consolidated Plan 2015 Expansion Area <br />"The 2017 Amendment". Mike Young confirmed with Tim Currens <br />that the role of the Plan Commission was to determine that any <br />amendments and or changes were in line with the Mooresville Master <br />Use Plan. Jeff Dieterlen questioned the properties purposed in the <br />amendment, the possibility of holding off until annexation questions <br />had been addressed Tim Currens stated that the Plan Commission <br />review and acceptance were the first step in the amendment process. <br />Joe Beikman stated that properties purposed were neighboring other <br />properties zoned industrial. Additional items in the amendment were <br />discussed; the scholarship fund, the funds to assist with the new <br />Police Station remodel, and workforce development item, however <br />these items are not under the master use plan and the property is the <br />Plan Commissions priority for review. Dennis Chambers confirmed <br />that waiting to act could be detrimental to the amendment process. <br />When no further questions were asked Mike Young called for a <br />motion, David Moore made a motion to approve the amendment <br />Perry King seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. <br />Inspections and Permit report will be made current at the next <br />meeting. <br />
