P.E. <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />SUPPLEMENTAL TRAFFIC ANALYSIS REPORT <br /> <br />This report is a review of the changes in vehicle delays at the <br /> <br />intersection of state Road 67 and state Road l44 as additional <br /> <br />traffic is added and intersection improvements are made for <br /> <br />westbound traffic. <br /> <br />Scenario 1 - Existinq Conditions with Existinq Traffic Volumes <br /> <br />There currently are two approach lanes westbound from State Road <br />l44 onto State Road 67. One lane is for left-turns and one lane is <br /> <br />for through and right-turns. However, the left-turn lane is very <br /> <br />short and there are heavy left-turns. <br /> <br />Therefore, the left-turn <br /> <br />lane fills up and the left-turning vehicles back up into the <br /> <br />through and right-turn lane thereby blocking the through and right- <br /> <br />turning traffic. <br /> <br />In the original analysis (TRAFFIC IMPACT ANALYSIS AND TRAFFIC <br /> <br />SIGNAL WARRANT ANALYSIS, Prepared for the Indiana Department of <br /> <br />Transportation) it was assumed that there were two lanes, one for <br /> <br />left-turns and one for through and right-turns. This revised <br /> <br />analysis assumes only one lane for all movements, left-turns, <br /> <br />through, and right turns. <br /> <br />While this is not totally correct it <br /> <br />more accurately depicts the actual traffic flows that occur during <br /> <br />peak traffic times.
